With the Medi Steam Compact series, you can dispose
of hazardous medical waste safely, efficiently, and
cost-effectively. Learn how to reduce waste volume
and treat it in an environmentally responsible manner.

Using state-of-the-art autoclaving processes,
heavily contaminated medical waste is shredded, sterilized, and converted into non-hazardous
general waste.
With the Compact Series, waste is processed directly at the source—saving space and significantly reducing storage costs.
The RKI-certified process significantly
exceeds WHO standards and achieves a sterilization assurance level of
SAL = 10⁻²⁴ in just 10 minutes.
Plug-and-Play-Installation, intuitive
Plug-and-play installation, intuitive controls, and automatic operation at the highest level of sterility—supported by continuous software updates.

Medi Steam is revolutionizing waste treatment
and reduces waste volume by up to 80%.
For liquid waste, reductions of up to 97%
are even possible.

Within 10 minutes, Medi Steam achieves a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of SAL = 10–24.
Within 20 minutes, Medi Steam achieves a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) well above WHO standards of SAL=10⁻⁴⁸.
MediSteam can handle up to 750 kg of infectious waste per cycle, revolutionizing waste management.
This eco-friendly technology combines
mechanical and thermal sterilization in a
pressure-controlled process -it is free of harmful substances and safe to use.
The contaminated waste is loaded into the feed hopper
from above, which is sealed airtight by the
automated control system.
This system adjusts the sterilization cycles and optimizes the entire process.

The waste materials are mechanically shredded to
reduce their volume and ensure effective
surface sterilization. This ensures that
hazardous components are uniformly destroyed.

The air is removed from the container using a vacuum,
ensuring that the chamber is optimally prepared for
steam penetration. Sterilization is performed at
a constant temperature of 134 °C to reliably kill
all microorganisms and pathogens.

After sterilization, a vacuum is created again to prevent
residual moisture and bacterial growth.
The chamber pressure is then returned to normal
to ensure safe unloading.

Once the cycle is complete, the chamber unloads
automatically and safely. The sterilized waste can be disposed
of as household trash. Medi Steam then performs an
automatic leak test in preparation for the next cycle.

Since the MVZ Diagnosticum has been managing its waste management challenges more efficiently, it has saved
approximately €100,000 annually.
As a result, the laboratory facility has also significantly
reduced its CO₂ emissions.
